Rowan is an exceptional maths tutor and was a brilliant support to both my son and daughter in their GCSE years. His method of working using super notes, as well as going back to basics, ensured that their foundation in maths understanding was absolutely solid. They both got level 9s in their maths GCSE and my daughter went on to do Maths & Further Maths at A Level, which I'm not sure she would have planned to do otherwise. Rowan has a great manner with all ages of students, is thorough, diligent and reliable. I can wholly recommend him.

I had an excellent experience being tutored by Rowan. Not only did I achieve an 8 after years of struggling to get above a 6 in exams, I also - and most importantly - enjoyed the sessions we did. His originality and unique style of teaching maths is really what sets him apart; his creation of 'super-notes' are effectively the blueprint of most GCSE maths questions and helped me immensely break down any problem that was thrown at me. Maths is a challenging subject for most, but Rowan's guidance and technique to problem solving made every question seem much simpler than school methods.
After numerous attempts at Maths GCSE, my son was low in confidence and feeling defeated by a system that did not take his needs into account. Rowan devised a bespoke plan of action to pass the exam, which we felt focused more on what was achievable and realistic in the time frame. More than this, though, he provided support and confidence boosting, which meant that my son started to understand that he could do it and pass the exam - which he did this summer!

I used to dislike maths, and at first I didn't want to do any homework. But Rowan helped me get into the habit of doing it consistently, and the Supernotes made it a lot easier to understand. Over time, I actually started enjoying maths, and it even became my favourite subject - so I also decided to take it for A Level. Rowan really helped boost my confidence and my GCSE grade.
Having Rowan as my maths tutor was massively beneficial to me when I was taking GCSE Maths because Rowan's approach to maths tuition is unique. Rowan used different techniques to see which ones worked best for me. At the beginning of a new topic, Rowan helped me to identify the keywords and was methodical in making sure that I had grasped the concepts of each topic before moving to the next one. If I was struggling with a specific topic, Rowan identified the cause of my confusion in order to help me to feel confident in the specific topic. This sometimes involved additional practice to ensure that I did not have any further doubts about the specific topic. At a time when pupils have a lot of information to take in for different GCSE/A-level subjects, I would highly recommend Rowan's one-to-one maths tuition for compartmentalising the GCSE/A-level Maths curriculum. Rowan created supernotes with me to summarise each topic and to consolidate my knowledge of each topic. Rowan used different colours to highlight not only the keywords but also the numbers or formulae which relate to the keywords. The supernotes were numbered and placed into a ring binder, along with a page of contents to help me to easily and efficiently locate each supernote. The supernotes then served as an organised and useful revision guide for me. All in all, there is no doubt that Rowan is an incredibly reliable maths tutor, who values the success of each and every tutee and who offers flexible one-to-one support in whatever way is most effective for the tutee.
